U.S. President Donald Trump announced the release of Elizabeth Tsurkov, an Israeli who was kidnapped in Iraq. He wrote on Truth Social that "I am pleased to announce that Elizabeth, a Princeton student whose sister is an American citizen, has just been released. She is now at the U.S. Embassy in Iraq, after being tortured in captivity for many months." He also addressed Hamas: "I will always fight for justice and never give up. Hamas, release the hostages - now!"
