A source in the Peace Council referred to the meeting between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, senior Peace Council officials and senior envoy of U.S. President Donald Trump, his son-in-law Jared Kushner, and said that "Israel professionally presented its security concerns and fears. The council takes this into great consideration. Everyone agrees on the ultimate goal of fully dismantling Hamas from its weapons and rule, full demilitarization of Gaza and only after that a full Israeli withdrawal. It can be said that the direction in the meeting was positive and there is a mutual desire to give this a chance."
