Annual U.S. inflation rate remains at 2.7%

The annual inflation rate in the U.S. remained at 2.7%, the same as in June. Analysts had forecast a slight increase to 2.8%. On a monthly basis, U.S. inflation rose by 0.2%. The next interest rate decision in the U.S. will be on September 17, and it appears that pressure on Federal Reserve (Central Bank) Chairman Jerome Powell from President Donald Trump to lower interest rates will continue to intensify.
