Hostage survivor Naama Levy, who was released after 477 days in Gaza, spoke at a UN event dedicated to the hostages and described the moment of her kidnapping and time in captivity: "I was kidnapped – violently dragged from a black jeep, injured, terrified, bleeding and helpless, displayed before an angry and hateful crowd, with sounds of gunfire and cheers echoing around me. This was only the first day in hell. The first of 477 long and torturous days. Days that turned into months, and months that turned into more than a year. Periods without food or water, I suffered from severe malnutrition, unimaginable hunger and many untreated injuries. I was held in unbearable sanitary conditions, with the constant fear that any moment could be my last. 477 days where every minute feels like an eternity."
