US: Two firefighters shot dead while responding to fire in northern Idaho

|
Two firefighters were shot dead by sniper fire when they arrived to extinguish a fire in an open area in northern Idaho, near the city of Coeur d'Alene. This was reported by Kootenai County Sheriff's Office spokesman Jeff Howard, who added that it is unknown how many suspects are involved - and that the shooting at forces in the area continues. In an interview with ABC, he noted that authorities are investigating the possibility that the fire was deliberately set as a trap for firefighters.
