An Australian court sentenced 50-year-old Erin Patterson to life imprisonment after she was convicted of murdering three people at a family meal - her husband's parents and his aunt - and attempting to murder another person. According to the indictment, Patterson poisoned them to death after serving them a dish containing highly toxic death cap mushrooms in July 2023. The court also ruled that she cannot apply for pardon for 33 years.
