Senior police official criticizes Shin Bet chief David Zini: 'Unclear where information on military formations in Bedouin diaspora came from'

|
A senior police official has launched an unusual attack on Shin Bet chief David Zini, following remarks he made last night at a cabinet meeting about formations with military characteristics in the Bedouin diaspora in the Negev. The official said that "it's unclear where the Shin Bet chief obtained this information. Shin Bet coordinators working with the Southern District say they have no idea what the statements are based on. If the Shin Bet possesses intelligence information about the establishment of battalions or military infrastructures in the Negev, such serious information is expected to be transmitted first and foremost to the Israel Police and the Southern District."
