National Unity party chairman Benny Gantz addressed the removal of coalition laws from the agenda following threats by ultra-Orthodox Knesset members, writing that 'The new coalition crisis is very concerning not because of threats to the coalition, but because it is part of negotiations to continue exempting our ultra-Orthodox brothers from military service during wartime.' He added, 'It's inconceivable that a year and a half after October 7, we're even having this discussion. Have we gone mad? This is what a government that puts politics above security looks like.'
