Knesset Communications Committee Chair MK Galit Distel-Atbaryan (Likud) sharply attacked the legal advisers during a discussion on a communications bill, claiming that 'since I didn't accept your version of the law, you are acting out of insult and ego, you are working against me and obstructing the committee.' Committee legal adviser Pinchas Goret said that 'we see there is no need here for legal counsel,' and subsequently the three representatives of the legal counsel at the committee walked out of the discussion, claiming they were not being allowed to speak. MK Efrat Rayten (Democrats), who was present at the discussion, issued sharp criticism of Distel-Atbaryan in a letter to the Knesset legal adviser: 'This is predatory, unprecedented and improper conduct by the committee chair.'
