Iran's Revolutionary Guards claimed that two oil tankers caught fire south of the Strait of Hormuz following the explosion of mines laid by the organization's naval forces. "We warn again, passage through mined routes is illegal and will only lead to the destruction of violators' assets," the organization threatened.
