Bennett: 'Next Year the Torch Lighting Ceremony Will Return to the People'

|
Former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett issued a statement on Independence Day saying that "next year the torch lighting ceremony will return to the people." Bennett added: "To those who don't get screen time for 364 days of the year, but thanks to whom we live here. Next year the prime minister will return to the guest stand and wave a blue and white flag, with his children, who have grown a bit since the last time. Next year the ceremony will return to being sacred at the beginning and joyful throughout. A ceremony of the people."
