Yanniv Assor spoke at a ceremony honoring the new Hebrew year at the Eshkol Regional Council, and against the backdrop of the storm sparked by the film 'Innocents,' he said that 'in this war, we carry a torch of light and goodness and are fighting a great battle against darkness and evil. We will counter false claims with facts, answer tough questions honestly, and when a failure is revealed – we will investigate, learn and correct. Our belief in the righteousness of our path obligates us to do this as well.' According to him, 'Our strength is mighty and our spirit is strong, and therefore those who slander us seek to harm our reputation in the world, sow doubt in our hearts and undermine our solidarity.'
