The Beer Sheva District Court sentenced Israel Elisha, a 25-year-old from Even Shmuel, to 30 years in prison and compensation after he was convicted based on his confession to murdering a woman and robbery following a dispute over 250 shekels in February 2023 in Ashdod. The amended indictment states that Elisha arrived at her apartment to receive sexual services and left following an argument over payment. He later armed himself with a hammer, kitchen knife and gloves, put a sock over his head to conceal his identity and returned to the apartment, where he brutally attacked the deceased until her death. The court ordered him to pay 150,000 shekels in compensation to the victim's mother.
