UN Security Council to convene for emergency discussion following cabinet decision to take control of Gaza

|
The UN Security Council will convene tomorrow for a special emergency discussion following the cabinet's decision to take control of Gaza City in the center of the Strip, initiated by Britain. Israel's ambassador to the UN Danny Danon said in response that "on October 7, Hamas kidnapped British citizens along with hundreds of Israelis. If today fifty British citizens were being held in Gaza by terrorists, the British government would not be sitting idle either. The State of Israel will not stop acting until all hostages return home and the security of our citizens is ensured, this is our duty."
