The IDF confirmed that in the opening strike of Operation "With a Lion" (Ke-Lavi), Gholam Reza Mehrabi, head of the Intelligence Division of the Iranian Armed Forces, and Mohammad Bakeri, commander of the surface-to-surface missile array in the Revolutionary Guards Air Force, were eliminated. More than 20 military commanders of the Iranian regime were eliminated in the attack. Mehrabi was responsible for the intelligence assessment of the Iranian regime and was considered the most senior intelligence officer in Iran. Bakeri was responsible for most of Iran's surface-to-surface missile and long-range cruise missile capabilities, which pose a central threat to Israel. He took an active part in the decision-making process during previous Iranian attacks.
