Defense Minister Israel Katz commended the Shin Bet and Police for exposing the Iranian espionage affair and "thwarting the Iranian attempt to harm me." According to him, "Iran is the head of the terror octopus that promotes terrorist activities directly and through terrorist organizations it supports, against leaders and all Israeli citizens." He added, "I will not be deterred by any threat and will continue to fulfill my commitment to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons and to cut off the head of the Iranian octopus."
