IDF: Hamas planned to expand operations in Lebanon with Hezbollah approval and Iranian support

|
The IDF Spokesperson announced that internal Hamas documents found in the Gaza Strip reveal how the terror organization received approval from Hezbollah to establish itself in various locations in Lebanon with full cooperation from Hezbollah and under Iranian guidance. The documents expose a meeting held between senior Hamas and Hezbollah officials in the presence of the former commander of the Palestinian Legion in the Quds Force, Saeed Izadi, to finalize the joint project. As part of the understandings, Hezbollah agreed to assist Hamas in storing and transporting equipment into the territories where it would establish itself, alongside financial assistance. It emerged that Hamas planned to purchase advanced weapons.
