The Jerusalem Magistrate's Court sentenced a former teacher and educator to 32 months in prison for multiple offenses of consensual statutory rape, indecent acts and sexual harassment against a student who was about 15 years old, as well as several counts of obstructing justice. According to the verdict, the defendant served as the educator of one of the classes in the grade where the complainant studied. Exploiting the dependency relationship between them, he established a close relationship with her and during which he committed indecent acts with her and had consensual sexual intercourse with her. He urged her not to tell anyone about what happened between them and to have mercy on his children, so that he would not be forced to go to prison.
