Solberg on Karhi's letter: Serious misconduct - legal adviser's opinions remain valid

|
Supreme Court Justice Noam Solberg addressed Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi's letter to his ministry employees, which instructed them to ignore legal counsel, in the interim order issued to the government freezing the dismissal of Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara. Solberg wrote: "The content of the letter is regrettable. As known, everyone must respect court decisions and rulings. The Communications Minister's conduct in this matter is serious. Contrary to what is stated in the letter, the Attorney General is not 'the former Legal Adviser to the Government.'" He added that "the validity of the legal opinions from the legal counsel remains intact."
