Chairman of the National Unity Party Benny Gantz responded to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's decision to appoint Major General David Zini as head of the Shin Bet, criticizing in a post on X: "Netanyahu continues to corrupt every sensitive process related to national security - for his personal and political interests." According to him, "When a prime minister decides to bypass the IDF Chief of Staff to appoint a general to head another security organization - he knowingly creates conflict between two of our most important security bodies."
