Smotrich: 'Building budget in case we need to finance aid to Gazans ourselves'

|
Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich addressed claims that Israel is financing humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip, stating that "the war has already cost 300 billion shekels. I am currently legislating a budget framework that will provide for the campaign against Iran, but I also want to include in it a budget in case we need to finance the aid to the Gazan population ourselves and stop sending trucks to Hamas. Currently, the funding is international, but if we need to - we will do it ourselves. I hope that tomorrow a clear decision will finally be made to launch an offensive on all of Gaza, occupy it completely and militarily defeat Hamas."
