Detention extended for Lod murder suspects, defense attorney: 'Police aim to show they're working'

|
The detention of three male Lod residents suspected in the murder of security guard Pavel Rozov (54) in the city on Friday has been extended by five days. Two additional women, arrested on suspicion of accessory after the fact and disrupting the crime scene, had their detention extended by three days. According to assessments, Rozov was riding his bicycle to work as a security guard at a police station in the city when he entered the Pardes Snir neighborhood, where his appearance as an armed rider dressed in black raised suspicions that he had arrived "to carry out an assassination." Attorney Giora Zilberstein, representing the suspects, said that "this is an arrest meant to convey a feeling that the police are working."
