Trump Administration Deports Two Asian Migrants to South Sudan, Federal Judge: 'Order Violated'

|
The U.S. administration deported at least two migrants from Vietnam and Myanmar, who were in U.S. detention, to South Sudan. This was revealed in an emergency petition filed by their lawyers, claiming a violation of a court order. According to the attorneys, 'South Sudan is currently returning to a full-scale, catastrophic civil war,' and their deportation there could violate international laws. Federal Court Judge in Boston, Brian Murphy, said that 'it appears the Trump administration violated the order ensuring they would have a real chance to express their safety concerns.'
