After issuing an evacuation warning to residents of Gaza City, the IDF spokesperson announced that it attacked a high-rise building used by Hamas in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood. According to the IDF, "the terrorists installed intelligence gathering equipment in the building and set up observation posts to monitor the location of IDF forces in the area." It was also reported that the building was rigged with numerous explosives in anticipation of troops arriving in the city as part of Operation "Gideon's Chariots B".
