The United States approached Turkey with a request to prevent the departure of 15 ships as part of the 'Sumud' flotilla to Gaza. This was reported to Ynet. The new flotilla includes 60 vessels, many of which participated in the previous flotilla that was blocked en route in Crete. 35 vessels are currently anchored in Crete - 15 from Turkey and the rest from Sicily. At Israel's request, the U.S. is working with Turkey to prevent the ships' departure and Secretary of State Marco Rubio has also conveyed messages to the Turks. The flotilla is expected to arrive by May 15.
