Jerusalem Light Rail halted after tractor damages power cable; alternative routes activated

Jerusalem Light Rail operations were suspended throughout the city after a tractor damaged a power cable along the rail line. Cfir, the line operator, announced that alternative bus routes will operate until normal service resumes: Egged operates line 76 from Mount Herzl to Central Station; line 27 from Hadassah Ein Kerem to Mount Herzl; 19 from Hadassah Ein Kerem to city center; lines 18, 25, 45, 66, 74, 75, 78 from Central Station area to the market and city center; 66 from Central Station to Damascus Gate, Shimon HaTzadik and Ammunition Hill; 68 from Central Station to Givat HaMivtar; lines 19, 22, 25, 34, 45 from city center to Ammunition Hill; line 77 from city center to Givat HaMivtar; line 274 from A-Sahel, Beit Hanina and Shuafat stations; lines 22, 25, 65, 66, 540, 541 from Pisgat Ze'ev to destinations along the line; lines 22, 25, 45, 59, 69, 81, 541 from Neve Yaakov to destinations along the line.
