Police announced changes in traffic arrangements at the Peace Bridge between September 28-30, due to bridge rehabilitation work as part of the "Ayalon Basin" project. The work will begin at midnight between Saturday and Sunday and continue until 6:00 PM on Tuesday. Under the traffic arrangements, Ayalon Highway lanes will remain open to traffic, but travel lanes on the Peace Bridge will be reduced to one lane in each direction. Additionally, those coming from Tel Aviv will not be able to exit to Ayalon North; those coming from Givatayim will not be able to exit to Ayalon South; right turns will be permitted when exiting Ayalon South toward Menachem Begin Road; left turns will not be permitted when exiting Ayalon South to the Peace Bridge; the exit from Ayalon North turning left toward Menachem Begin Road will be reduced to just one lane. The work will be carried out with traffic inspectors who will assist in directing drivers, and a safe passage will be maintained for pedestrians. In addition, there will be changes to bus stops and route patterns in the area.
