The Movement for Quality Government has submitted a request to open a criminal investigation against Communications Minister Shlomo Karai on suspicion of incitement, after he instructed his ministry staff yesterday to ignore the directives of Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara. The chairman of the Movement for Quality Government, Attorney Eliad Shraga, stated that "quality governance begins with proper administration and compliance with the law and court rulings. We cannot allow a situation where an elected official considers himself above the law." According to him, "this is an extremely serious act. This behavior severely damages the rule of law and endangers the foundations of Israeli democracy."
