Hadash-Ta'al chairman Ayman Odeh addressed the Knesset plenum ahead of the vote on his removal, saying that "this is not Arabs against Jews or Jews against Arabs. Only together we will defeat fascism and Kahanism, and we will build a future of peace and democracy here. Everyone - Jews and Arabs - has a place in the circle of victory." According to him, "I am a son of a wounded nation, and it has only one demand - to live as a normal nation, without occupation, neglect and abuse." Minister Yitzhak Wasserlauf shouted at him from the audience, as did Minister Itamar Ben Gvir and MK Tali Gottlieb, and Deputy Knesset Speaker Simon Davidson ordered them removed.
