Yisrael Beiteinu chairman Avigdor Liberman addressed the burning of a car in Jerusalem during protests for the release of hostages, saying he "strengthens the families of the hostages and supports their right to demonstrate. However, the act of vandalism carried out by a radical minority is serious and unacceptable." Minister of the Negev, Galilee and National Resilience Yitzhak Wasserlauf stated that "the Attorney General encourages rioters through her criminal conduct, selective enforcement and containment of anarchy. Setting fire in a residential neighborhood and burning property is not a legitimate protest and it is not a protest for the return of the hostages."
