US allegation: Israeli company employees 'imprisoned' young man with disability until he paid $50,000

Mazal Group, an Israeli-owned cosmetics company operating in shopping malls in Southern California, is at the center of a police investigation in the United States after a young man with developmental disabilities claimed its employees pressured him into spending nearly $52,000. Victor Chisolm, 30, who lives in assisted living, paid according to receipts $41,747 for cosmetic products and a red light therapy device, and transferred $10,120 in 'tips' to two employees. According to him, he was taken to a back room, where they yelled at him and refused to let him leave until he handed over his credit card. The company's branch at Westfield Topanga mall was closed following an investigation by CBS News, and the company denied the allegations and blamed a 'rogue employee' for the incident. The company offered to refund Chisolm's money on the condition that he remove negative reviews he posted about it.
