Spanish police arrested a 38-year-old Chinese citizen, who owns a barber shop near Barcelona, on suspicion of financing Hamas through cryptocurrency transfers amounting to about 600,000 euros (about 2.2 million shekels). This was reported by the regional police, which noted that investigators identified at least 31 crypto transactions from virtual wallets controlled by the suspect to addresses suspected of being linked to an entity that served the terrorist organization. During searches of the suspect's barber shop and home, crypto assets, cash, about 9,000 cigars, jewelry, computers and mobile phones were seized. According to the police, the investigation began last June as part of a separate fraud and money laundering probe.
