Lithuanian-Haredi leader: 'If forced conscription happens, we will take unwanted actions'

The leader of the Lithuanian-Haredi stream, Rabbi Dov Lando, addressed attempts to draft Haredim in a letter to be published tomorrow morning in Yated Ne'eman newspaper. "The authorities are plotting to draft Torah students into their army. If, God forbid, forced conscription occurs, we cannot stand idle and will be compelled to take actions we do not wish to take," he wrote.
