Northern Command probes unauthorized entry of soldiers into Bint Jbeil

|
Northern Command Chief Maj. Gen. Rafi Milo is investigating an incident in which a brigade commander operating in the Bint Jbeil sector authorized the entry of four reserve and active-duty soldiers into the town's sector, to the battle site where eight fighters were killed in the Second Lebanon War. The IDF said that after an investigation, no civilians were brought into Lebanon for this purpose. An IDF spokesperson stated: 'An active-duty soldier and three active reserve soldiers were brought into southern Lebanon for non-operational purposes. Their entry was carried out without authorization from the relevant authorities. The incident is under investigation.'
