Italian authorities arrested nine people connected to three "charity" organizations, suspected of raising seven million euros for Hamas. According to the Italian prosecution, the suspects sent funds to organizations located in Gaza and the West Bank, which belong to, are controlled by or affiliated with the terrorist organization. Among those arrested is Mohammad Hannoun, described as "the head of the Hamas cell in Italy".
