Ultra-Orthodox extremists break into Tel Aviv urban renewal CEO's home, no arrests made

|
About 100 ultra-Orthodox extremists broke through the gate of Aura company CEO Jacob Atrakchi's Tel Aviv home, aiming to stop his urban renewal project in Yehud. The protesters claim the project involves digging in an area containing Jewish graves, which they say must be stopped. Yesterday, they broke through Atrakchi's gate, damaged property and threw bags of feces at the premises and Atrakchi's family members. Police were aware of the protesters' intentions and had contacted the family about their security arrangements an hour before the incident, but failed to deploy sufficient forces and made no arrests.
