A senior prosecutor in the Police Internal Investigations Department, who served as the lead prosecutor in the sensitive investigation into associates of National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, requested to end her role in the department and transfer to another position in the State Attorney's Office. She is one of the most senior prosecutors in the department and was considered the "right hand" of outgoing department head Attorney Keren Bar Menachem. She recently requested to end her role in the department and transfer to the appeals department at the State Attorney's Office. The transfer is taking place while handling of the Ben-Gvir associates case has not yet concluded, and after the prosecutor was involved in overseeing the investigation from its first day. The State Attorney's Office stated: "The prosecutor transferred at her request to another unit, a request that was submitted even before the head of the department ended her tenure, and it has no connection to handling this or any other case."
