Lebanese Prime Minister confirms: 'We support the objectives toward ceasefire with Israel'

Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati wrote on the social media platform X that "the government has approved the 'objectives' included in the introduction to the ceasefire agreement we received from Ambassador Thomas Bark." Among the items Mikati listed are "implementing Security Council Resolution 1701; eliminating the military presence of non-state actors, including Hezbollah; ensuring Israel's withdrawal from Lebanese territory; and deploying the Lebanese army in border areas." He also noted that the objectives include "permanent demarcation of the international border between Lebanon and Israel."
