IDF Arabic spokesperson: 'Lebanese soldiers may have been injured by Israeli ammunition, incident under investigation'

|
IDF spokesperson in Arabic, Lieutenant Colonel Avichay Adraee, wrote on X that "The IDF attacked an engineering vehicle in the Al-Naqoura area in southern Lebanon last night, which was attempting to restore Hezbollah infrastructure. During the attack, a technical malfunction occurred causing the ammunition not to explode - and it fell to the ground. Later, several Lebanese army personnel were reported injured." According to him, "The possibility that this resulted from the explosion of Israeli ammunition is being examined. The IDF expresses regret for the injury to Lebanese army soldiers and will investigate the incident. We did not attack Lebanese army soldiers."
