Opposition Leader Yair Lapid's team stated that the open testimony he gave to the police regarding the "Qatar-gate" affair was coordinated in advance and lasted about half an hour. During the testimony, which took place at the Yesh Atid party offices in Tel Aviv, Lapid was reportedly asked about a meeting he held in Paris with representatives from Qatar in the presence of hostage families, as well as about the functioning of the Prime Minister's Office.
