U.S. President Donald Trump announced that American forces eliminated Abu Bilal al-Muhajir, the number two in the ISIS terror organization. Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social: "Tonight, at my direction, brave American forces and the Armed Forces of Nigeria flawlessly executed a meticulously planned and highly complex mission to eliminate the world's most active terrorist from the battlefield. ISIS's deputy commander worldwide thought he could hide in Africa, but he did not know we had sources that kept us informed of his actions. He will no longer terrorize the citizens of Africa, and he will no longer assist in planning operations against Americans."
