British minister: 'We did not participate in strikes on Iran and were not asked to, but were updated in advance'

|
British Trade Minister Jonathan Reynolds told Sky News that the country was not involved in the American strikes on Iran, and did not receive any request to participate - nor to allow the use of the Diego Garcia base. However, he noted that Britain was updated in advance about the operation. According to him, Prime Minister Keir Starmer "is holding conversations with our key partners. We have deployed military assets to the Middle East, and we will act to protect the interests of Britain, the US and NATO in the region."
