The senior official from Doha who operated the Israeli suspects in the Qatar-gate affair is Sheikh Thamer bin Hamad Al-Thani, director of Qatar's Communications Office since March 2023. Findings from the investigation so far revealed that employees of the companies "Perception" and "Novard" met with the sheikh on several occasions between 2021-2023, including Major General (res.) Yoav (Poly) Mordechai and Israel Einhorn. The meetings focused on various influence campaigns to improve Qatar's image.
