Netivei Israel CEO Nissim Peretz sharply criticized the state's handling of infrastructure projects and estimated that the Tel Aviv Metro project will continue for many more years. In an interview at Ynet and Yedioth Ahronoth's 'The People of the State' conference, he said, "We are good at planning and understanding needs, but in execution we are roughly a third-world country. The problem lies in the mindset of decision-makers. If they brought in the private sector for the metro, we would see results. I am not optimistic about the dates being discussed. Twenty years, no less."
