Vance on sovereignty vote: 'If it was a political exercise - it was stupid, I was offended'

U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance commented before departing Israel on yesterday's preliminary vote on applying sovereignty to Judea and Samaria, saying: "The vote was strange. If it was a political exercise, it was a stupid political exercise and I was offended by it. We will not allow Israel to annex the West Bank and we were not pleased with this vote." The proposal was introduced by Noam chairman Avi Maoz, with 25 MKs voting in favor and 24 against.
