Hostages and Missing Persons Coordinator, Brig. Gen. (Res.) Gal Hirsch, wrote on his X account tonight: 'Hamas terrorist organization currently holds 59 hostages. 24 of them are on the list of living hostages. 35 are on the list of deceased hostages, their deaths officially confirmed. 54 of the hostages are Israeli citizens. Five of the hostages are foreign nationals. The coordination unit maintains continuous contact with all hostage families and we are available to them for updates.' This follows after the U.S. President casually mentioned that three hostages had died in captivity.
