Father of kidnapped soldier Itay Chen: 'Most people want a deal, the coalition doesn't care'

|
Ruby Chen, father of kidnapped IDF soldier Staff Sgt. Itay Chen, addressed the crisis over the military exemption law and said in an interview with ynet studio that it's "beyond sad, it's shameful that these are our elected officials and this is what they're occupied with. It's become normal that my job is to be in the Knesset. People tell me, 'Ruby, we haven't seen you for a long time, where have you been?' as if I'm some kind of politician. I don't know where the moral compass is."
According to him, "Yuli Edelstein brought a compass that says things can't continue as they have until now. I also speak with rabbinical leaders who say the most important thing is saving lives, bringing back the hostages. Most people want a deal, the coalition doesn't care what the people think."
