Manhattan police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths of a 24-year-old man and woman who were killed by a train after they sat down on the tracks at the Spring Street subway station in New York. According to police, there is no indication the two were pushed onto the tracks or fell there by accident. Investigators are examining whether they consumed alcohol before the incident, but have not yet determined it to be a suicide. The man was a resident of the affluent suburb of Syosset in New Jersey and the woman was a resident of Dayton in New York State. The footage shows the two as the train approaches them and they do not move even in the final seconds before it struck them.
