Followers of Rabbi Eliezer Berland entered Kifl Haris, a Palestinian village in the West Bank, to visit the tombs of Joshua bin Nun and Caleb ben Jephunneh without coordinating with the military. Palestinians threw stones at them and a riot broke out at the scene. Two of them were injured and evacuated for medical treatment. Police arrested five of them on suspicion of causing damage to the site. "Upon receiving the report, IDF forces, Border Police fighters from the Judea and Samaria Division and officers from the Ariel station were dispatched to the scene. By the time the forces arrived at the scene, those involved had already left the area. Palestinian vehicles that were damaged and stones scattered at the scene were found. The suspects, Jerusalem residents aged 16-20, were arrested near the Hizma checkpoint."
