A young Israeli man, approximately 26 years old from the Jerusalem area, drowned during a kayaking trip in Norway. The young man was on vacation with his friends, one of whom was injured in the accident and is hospitalized at a local hospital. The Foreign Ministry stated: "The Israeli Embassy in Oslo and the Department for Israelis in Distress Abroad have been handling the case with local authorities since receiving the report, are in contact with the family and are supporting them during this difficult time."
